The Zone - A Week in the Zone Review - This book is the first one I read and lost weight on initially.  Very
inexpensive and is a great introduction to the diet and recipes that can be used.  More in depth information and
recipes can be found in the many other published Zone books.  
NV Perricone's The Perricone Prescription review- Follow up to the Wrinkle Cure, this is one of my favorites.  It
combines diet, exercise, supplement, and topical application advice for reversing the aging process, dropping
weight, and maintaining youth, vitality, and a healthy mind.  Many of the concepts are similar to The Zone and
South Beach, but this one also shows you how to get the most beautiful, resilient, and youthful skin you've

Diet Aids - Tips and Tricks to Aid Your Dieting Goals

1.)  Drink plenty of water between meals.  This is a great diet aid in itself.  Do not concentrate so much on
drinking a lot of water WITH your meals, as this can actually hinder the digestions of your food by diluting the
essential digestive acids in the stomach, which hinders weight loss and weight maintenance since these
digestive enzymes and acids aid in digestion and proper absorption and storage of fats and calories.  

2.)  Eat slowly.  Take your time.  If you study the eating habits of a thin person eats vs. an overweight person's,
you will notice people
without a weight problem  usually  take their time, and chew thoroughly.  It takes the brain
at least 15-20  minutes to register that you are full.  The longer you take to enjoy and savor your  meal, the
sooner your brain will send the "full" signal to your stomach, aiding the whole satiety and satisfaction
processes the brain goes through when full.

3.)  "Eat to Live, Do Not Live to Eat" - while this may be a cliche, it is definitely wise
AND true.  Concentrate on other things you enjoy, do not make food a focal point
