There has been such an interest in anything having to do with preventing, stalling, and reversing the aging process that it’s no wonder at all HGH research has been in the spotlight for some time now. HGH, or human growth hormone, is that magical fountain of youth that mysteriously begins to decline already in our bodies, even before we turn thirty years old.
Which is funny because I can’t tell you how many times my friends and I laugh about the fact that our bodies start to fall apart as soon as that age hits thirty, sometimes even after the age of twenty five, I think that I already had started to notice that my body did not bounce back so easily from things. I noticed how I couldn’t lose weight as easily, that my body fat seemed to become more plentiful while my muscle tone seemed harder to maintain, when it had been fairly effortless in my younger days.
I also noticed a loss of elasticity in my skin, particularly on my face, as soon as I passed the age of twenty five. Where my laugh wouldn’t have left any lines around my eyes before, I now had the beginnings of what we all call crow’s feet starting around my eyes since it was no longer snapping back so easily after my squinting, laughing and smiling, which I tend to do a lot with my eyes personally.

I’ve long been interested in the research behind HGH because I know that I’ve heard there are ways that you may be able to prompt your body into making more of this hormone naturally. There are even some habits that you have that may be depleting your HGH levels even more than necessary as well.
But there are also some supplements that you can take apparently that help you to make sure your body makes sufficient HGH, although they must be taken consistently and indefinitely in order that they remain effective, since the replenishment of HGH is a constant thing that needs constant attention.
HGH can be received through injections of the actual hormone if you have a medical need due to a deficiency. It is actually given to some children who are not growing as a therapy to help them grow properly, but that is one of the only medical uses. It is also used “recreationally” I suppose you might say, by people who can afford the outrageous cost and doctor’s care of getting them which amounts to thousands of dollars per year. The medical term for HGH is somatotropin.
HGH injections are illegal in organized professional sports because they have been deemed to give athletes an unfair advantage due to their muscle building abilities and suspected performance enhancing qualities. I’m sure you’ve heard about some high level professional athletes getting in trouble for this. Even use by the average Joe is under scrutiny and is very divisive amongst the medical community because some believe that HGH injections are lacking long term research to show that they don’t have any serious side effects.
This fact has resulted in a lot of alternative products that are supposed to help enhance your body’s natural ability to produce HGH on it’s own. One such product is called GenF20 HGH Releaser and Enhancer, which has gained favorable reviews for it’s effectiveness in giving people back the traits that go with youth such as more supple skin, less gray hair and darker colored hair, increased energy levels, less body fat, more muscle tone, better sleep and an overall higher level of focus, concentration and mental acuity.
Research indicates that HGH is responsible for most of the traits that we begin to see declining after we turn about thirty years old or are in our late twenties. These differences become a lot more noticeable when we get into our fifties, sixties and seventies. I remember seeing a picture of a guy, supposedly a doctor, who advocated getting injections of human growth hormone to stay younger feeling and looking for a longer time.
The only thing that struck me was how he looked unnaturally “built” (he had his shirt off) and how his face didn’t really match his body. I do wonder how safe injections of this hormone can be, especially considering some of the critics of it claiming the potential side effects aren’t worth it. For my money, I’d rather try a natural alternative to injections that may not be safe and cost thousands of dollars a year anyways. Research does say that your quality of sleep has a lot to do with your HGH production, so make sure you are getting plenty of shut eye so your body can replenish that precious hormone.
I guess that explains why they say that not getting any sleep will age your quicker than almost anything. If I had to guess, I’d say that substance abuse and smoking might also cut off the production of HGH earlier than desired, so healthy living probably helps to elevate your production of this hormone as well, or at least gives it a healthier basis to create this and other beneficial natural chemicals that benefit the body and mind
